I've been seeing a bunch of geeky COEXIST images out there.  Some are bumper stickers, some are tee shirt designs, some are simply art.  The first two are my favourites:

I am a happy nerd girl tonight, after reading Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation - Assimilation2 #1. I had to read it on both my MacBook and my iPhone just because :)

My inner collector resisted the urge to possess the paper book and got the eComic - which although it lacks that fresh ink smell, lacks absolutely nothing else. The full-colour artwork is gorgeous. The characters ring true; I could even hear their voices in my head - well, the Doctor's, Amy's & Rory's anyways. This issue was more Whovian than Trekker, but, there are 8 in the series, perhaps the next one will be a little more Trekkish. I'm sure I'll be equally pleased either way :)

And I love how the story left off ...  Bring on #2!

Watch This: Captain Jack Will Get You High

My friends Karen,  Jenn  and I get up to some pretty silly geeky conversations late at night; a recent one was discussing songs appropriate for a DW/TW playlist, and sharing DW/TW-themed YouTube music videos. Somehow we didn't come across this little gem that night - even though the very song came up... but one of Karen's friends shared it on her Facebook wall today - thank you Matthew!

I'd love to know why videos are so wonky on my blog as compared to on YouTube...

Oh, and Karen did make a playlist! If you must have it, email me & I'll see if she'll share :)

Edible Adipose, cheese Weeping Angels, and yogurt bow ties, oh my! Through my bento blog, I've become friends with the most excellent bento maker and sci fi kindred spirit, Karen, the talented blogger behind *What's in Our Lunchbags? Somehow I have never seen this until recently! I must watch it a lot to make up for lost time :)
I will also watch it whenever I need to feel a little happier. I don't think it would be possible to watch it and not smile!

FYI - It's so much sharper if you click through and watch it on YouTube ;)  I've no idea why!

TARDIS Lock Screen, brilliant!

I recently got an iPhone after having a Droid for 2 years. My Droid had all DW images and sounds, and I miss them! I loved getting a text unexpectedly and being startled by a Dalek voice - "Exterminate!" I even had a sonic screwdriver flashlight app :) I plan to customize the iPhone similarly - starting with my new lock screen!

I got the image from Science Doll.  She tweaked it perfectly - I love it ! Now, to find the perfect TARDIS console image for the wallpaper...

I finally got around to updating my phone to iOS 7 - then realized my TARDIS lock screen now looked a little off. But no worries, Science Doll was way ahead of me --> TARDIS Lock & Home screens for iOS 7  ♥♥
