  4. Nice, thank you! One recommendation though: Torchwood series 2 should be watched before DW Stolen Earth/Journey's End since these include Capt. Jack Harkness and other Torchwood members and not those who deceased on Torchwood S02, E13. Also I'd add featuring Capt. Jack Harkness to Stolen Earth/Journey's End and maybe also The End of Time part 2 (small role).

    1. Thanks, good catch! I've made that adjustment, as well as added that it crosses over with Sarah Jane Adventures - I may add that series to the chart.

  12. Thank you so much for this wonderful guide! I've quickly become addicted to Doctor Who and Torchwood. And I'm also really glad that you added the Sarah Jane Adventures, because that series has been on my to-watch list for ages. I have a question, though- I'm currently just catching up to the end of DW season 4 and Torchwood season 2, and I'm anticipating the finale of DW, but I've only seen the first episode of the SJ adventures. Do I need to watch the whole series before watching the DW finale? Will there be spoilers in it?

  13. I am a little confused about this. I just finished watching Doctor Who Series 1 and now I am wondering if I should watch Series 1 of Torchwood after the Series 2 Christmas special of Doctror who or if I should watch Series 3 of Doctor who (until episode Utopia) and then Torchwood Series 1 or if I should watch one episode of Doctor Series 3 and then one episode of Torchwood Series 1 and so on... I would really appreciate some help pleas.

    1. I had reponded to this but then deleted it - it's gone all wibbly wobbly in my own mind now! I'll have to give it some thought and see why I put that notation there, perhaps it should be left off or changed.

  16. This is BRilliant thank you so much, I'm writing a complicated fanfiction and this is an amazing help, I was wondering if you could add the years? I need the years of around the the Torchwood series It would be greatly appreciated.

  17. I do not mean to be picky, but in Journey's End (Doctor Who Series 4 finale) Mr Smith on his screen still has the crystal pattern. Doesn't that mean, Mr Jackson in the Sarah Jane Adventures hasn't (SPOILER ALERT) uploaded the virus onto Mr Smith yet, meaning that The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 1 finishes AFTER Doctor Who Series 4?! Sorry to be a pain....

    1. Sure, good catch! Not having exact dates and only drawing from details like this, "being picky" is helpful!

  18. You could ignore Torchwood series 4 completely as the show had by now completely broken away from Doctor Who to become a stand-alone series. Also, let's be honest series 4 is not very good. Great guide btw.

  19. Where do you watch "the last day" mini episode?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You would watch it after the other mini webisode, The Night of the Doctor, which comes after series 7's final episode, The Name of the Doctor, and before the 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor. I haven't included all the webisodes and minis because you don't really NEED to see them to follow. But they are fun bonuses :)

  20. Just a note for anybody using this list. The part that says "Episodes 3 & 4 of the Sarah Jane Adventures Series 3 take place before the Doctor Who Christmas Specials" should really be taken as the following; Episodes 5 & 6 of the Sarah Jane Adventures Series 3 take place before the Doctor Who Christmas Specials. Minor spoiler warning: The tenth Doctor appears in The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith and in The End of Time the tenth Doctor becomes eleven thus meaning the SJA episodes must take place prior to the events of the specials. Not only that but the doctor saves Luke but in The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith he'd never met him before.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Since The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith (SJA Season 3, episodes 5 &6) episodes feature David Tennant, those episodes should probably be watched before the DW The End of Time episodes.

    Thanks for putting this together.

    1. Of course, how silly of me to mess it up - thanks for the catch! :)

  22. You list to watch Warriors of Kudlak in SJA before Eye of the Gorgon, even though the episode order is actually switched in the series. Is this a typo?
